Growth Mindset Essay

The most important thing I have learned whilst working with Growth Mindset is that you can constantly become smarter as long as you keep practicing.

This has to do with a thing called a "neuron". These very small pieces filled with information, all combined together, is what creates you brain.

Whenever you learn something new, your neurons will reshape create new memories inside your brain. Learning something does not have to be something you learn in school. For example, I learned how to properly use a longboard thus. While I was practicing, my brain created new memories of everything from how to turn in time to how to gain a lot of speed by accelerating at the right moment.

Whenever you make a mistake you should always see it as a challenge to learn something new and not as a fail or something negative. If you do this, you will have a much better chance at  succeeding the next time you try to finish a similar task, since you will have the possibility to take on the challenge with a positive mindset and attitude.

Another important thing to think about is that the only reason why can't complete a certain task is because you do not have the required knowledge yet. Yet is a very powerful word since it means that you will be able to do it, sooner or later. Therefore yet is a very powerful word to keep in mind whenever you're taking on a challenge.

Another very important thing to keep in mind while learning new things is that you should never, ever hesitate to ask a friend, a parent or a teacher if there's something you don't understand. If someone knows the answer and can explain to you in a good way, you will without a doubt learn something new from him or her.

Another good thing to keep in mind is to never compare your work to somebody else's work. Instead, you should compare your work to what you have created and finished earlier. This way you will be able to tell weather you were able to do better this time compared to your last time completing a similar task. And if not, what you did wrong this time around.

If you keep comparing yourself to others all the time, there's a big risk that you might end up in what's known as "the dip". The dip is when you start getting feelings such as anxiety or stress during a project. The dip occurs if you start feeling like you are not as good as the other people that are trying to complete the same task. It's actually pretty easy to escape the dip since all you have to do is come to the realization that you can finish whatever you want as long as you keep practicing and learn new things.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
